It's an ideal place to relax, enjoy captivating views, venture out on private hiking trails, view wildlife, and dark sky star gaze. Forbes Park is filled with wildflowers in the spring, and has unique access to the SWA public park. It's less than an hour from the Great Sand Dunes National Park and Cuchara Mountain Park. Besides enjoying your time at this getaway, venture out to see the Great Sand Dunes National Park and hike the Zapata Waterfall, which are both less than a 10 minute drive from the Modern Cabin. Don't forget to relax in the hot tub after hiking or cozy up by the fireplace. After dark, gaze upward on a clear night for an incredible stargazing opportunity.

Cabin with great views on the Cuchara River

This beautiful little cabin is a gem. The location on the river with incredible views is stunning. It is newly remodeled with top end fixtures and and counter tops in the kitchen. The bedroom has a incredibly comfortable king bed with a view of the river from over the headboard of the bed. It has a futon couch in the front room so we can accommodate 3 people. It is an incredibly restful world to enter. There is a great deck with table and chairs so you can be comfortably outdoors.6/26

Located on the bank of the Cucharas River, the River's Bend ideal mountain retreat is geared for a family vacation, or personal restorative get away. This two beadroom, 3 bath cabin can accomadate up to six guests in the main cabin with use of the luxury cots in the spacious sunroom. With special arrangements, the detatched Sleeping Hut outfitted with queen bed and sleeping loft offers additional beds and the best sleep you will ever experience!
