Jennie greeted us and let us into her wonderful property, showing us the best places to take walks and visit in the area. An extremly lovely house to come back to after long walks or day trips out and even had the perfect weather to enjoy the hot tub. It was just two of us staying in the property so more than enough room for anyone with a party of 4 looking to book somewhere - a positive and amazing first Air BnB experience, highly recommend to anyone thinking of staying here!

Such a magical weekend, thank you for having us! It was so peaceful and the animals were all so beautiful (even if the alpacas were a bit cheeky) The hottub made a fabulous finish to each evening under the stars. We will definitely be coming again!

Natalie's place is a perfect! The location is one of the kind with Carsington Water views and rolling fields in the distance. If you like the outdoors and farm life and being surrounded by beautiful scenery, this is the place to stay! We loved it there. Listening to the farm livestock hussle and nloises, being close up - is what I think made is special for us. We could walk with the dogs on a lead though their field. The cottage was great - had everything you needed, comfy and had a lovely homely feel to it. Clean & tidy place. The Hot Tub was a bonus, we didn't get the chance to walk with the Alpacas, but saw them in the distance. I'd recommend it. Thank you Natalie!

We stayed in the Manor for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with our relations from Australia. We had a fantastic stay! The rooms were a perfect size and could fit us all in for games and entertaining ourselves, the kitchen was fully stocked with all the crockery and glassware we needed, the children loved the games room and the hot tub and the house was beautifully adorned with Christmas decorations. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this characterful house.

This cottage was perfect for us - 2 couples with small children. Louise gave us loads of information before we arrived, and her husband greeted us shortly after we arrived. It was such an easy stay with small children, we had everything we needed, and the stair gate made life so easy! There were lots of lovely touches like providing snacks, coffee and jams. And Louise even provided some glasses for the solar eclipse!! The surroundings are really peaceful and the kids loved the 2 Shetland ponies in the field opposite. There are lots of options for walks from the cottage, or a short drive away. The Black Lion pub did a great roast dinner. I found there was so much thought put into the stay and Louise was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend!

We had a great couple of nights away as a family with 3 children and a dog. the surrounding walks were great ways to get plenty of fresh air. Just what was needed and the children absolutely loved finding the animals around the farm. Katie and Nathan were great hosts who left us to it unless we needed anything then was very responsive to any questions we had. the Dairy is a lovely little place to stay that had everything we needed. The hot tub was well worth getting too as completed our break nicely! Will defo hope to stay again.

This is our second time staying here and just like before everything was perfect. Our son really enjoyed seeing all the sheep from the lodge and it's a short drive into Barrow for everything you need during your stay

What a lovely peaceful spot for a spring weekend, as a group of six friends the cottage was spacious but cosy, and had everything we needed. It’s even better than the photos and the bedrooms are lovely, we even ate outside which was a bonus. Being walking distance to pubs and places on Cromford is also useful but waking up on a farm was just so relaxing. Thank you!

Our Stay at the miners Cottage was a pleasure. The location was perfect for me and my Son we were visiting family over the Christmas Holidays. The home was very cozy and clean, and Maxine was available via text if we had any questions, which we didn’t as everything was perfect. I would highly recommended this accommodation, if you are looking to stay in the area.

Very peaceful location. Hosts were so friendly and incredibly helpful. Loved waking up hearing roosters crowing and horses neighing. Will definitely stay again!

I had a wonderful stay here — the house is cozy, quiet, and full of warmth. It reminded me of my university days in Nottingham, and for a few nights, it felt like I had traveled back to that time. Thank you for creating such a comforting space. I’d definitely love to come back again!

Great place to stay if you are wanting to stay in that area

When we got tomJanices place it was a lovely evening, the doors and windows open filling the place with fresh air, had a good chat and then settled in. The kitchen is well appointed, living room very comfy, both bedrooms have ample space and the bathroom was spot on. Myself and my son had a lovely weekend and we will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful stay. Impressive pool, garden furniture and landscaping to make the most of the sun. Ideal location for touring local sites. Izzy and partner were very welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

We very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage. The space is great and as an extra bonus, you get to use a heated pool and brilliant games room. We went early Jan and there was loads of snow, as well as pretty cold temperatures, but the house warmed up very quickly and we were always more than comfortable. The property is close enough to Bakewell for a short drive or taxi ride, should you want to venture into town. We're thinking about going back in the summer.

What a wonderful stay at Manor Farm. The house was beautiful, well maintained, extremely spacious and very comfortable. The surrounding countryside was stunning, with great food being served in nearby pubs and plenty of places to visit. Great space for youngsters too, with the wildlife - baby rabbits, sheep and birds and of course the swimming pool and games room, all of which they loved. Thanks to the hosts for their welcome and hospitable atmosphere.

Great value for money. Can't stress enough how friendly and reliable the staff were. We had a lovely week stay, the house was clean, the beds were comfy and the scenery was perfect. We were informed of the booking system for the swimming pool and games room, so you could have the room to yourself which was great. The pool was clean, the games room was kept tidy and the house surroundings were really lovely to walk around. You can tell the grounds were well maintained and kept in good shape as the workers never stopped, but were always so friendly. This property is perfect for bike riders, walkers and pub crawlers. You couldn't get bored.

Brilliant location, we stayed at Clover House before and after our wedding in Sheffield with a party of six. Very comfortable, spacious accommodation and the hot tub was lovely and well maintained. Also loved the goats and great space in the field for taking our dog with lots of walking available nearby. We also visited Matlock farm park 5 minutes down the road which was a big hit with our 3 year old niece. Overall great dog friendly house and location, and host available and responsive to queries. Highly recommended.

Very beautiful surroundings and cleverly executed indoor swimming pool, sauna and massage rooms! Some minor issues with the heating of the Manners and sounds of the swimmers below however it’s a great little escape! Highly recommend it.

The house was great, it was quiet and peaceful yet with the games room, pool and outdoor space lots to do for our children too. We would definitely stay again
