Terra Firma - 1850s Fleurieu Cottage

Take a step back in time. Built in 1850, this cottage was once occupied by the very Caffreys after whom our street is named. The cottage is structurally identical to how those European settlers would have inhabited it. The thick walls are fantastic for keeping both the summer heat and winter cold out. Workers, holiday-makers, and day-trippers have come through this place, each having left their own little mark. And hopefully, the soul of this place will make a bit of an imprint on you too.

Chesterdale

Chesterdale is in the heart of Kuitpo forest on 32 acres, surrounded by 8,900 acres of pine plantations and native forests. Perfect for walking and riding, the Heysen and Kidman trails are accessible through our back gate. Famous McLaren Vale and Adelaide Hills wineries are nearby. While the guest suite is attached to the main house, it is quite separate and totally private. A 50 minute drive from Adelaide’s CBD and a 20 minute drive from southern beaches, it is perfect for a weekend escape.

Perfectly located amidst award-winning wineries and cellar doors, this tranquil, four-bedroom retreat on 1.5 acres is uniquely surrounded by vineyards and provides an ideal base for you whilst you discover all the region has to offer. Located within minutes of Fox Creek Wines, Down the Rabbit Hole, Chalk Hill, McLaren Vale Town Centre and Willunga Farmers Markets. Additionally, you will be only a 10-minute drive to South Australia’s finest beaches including the iconic Port Willunga Beach.

We’re amidst the buzzing town & within easy walking distance to outstanding restaurants (5 less than 300 metres), cellar doors & specialty shops. The McLaren Vale Hotel is 2 doors or 140 m away. Each of the self-catered 1-bedroom villas have similar furnishings & floor plans and will comfortably sleep 4.

Close to numerous cellar doors, breweries and restaurants. A stunning space to relax and enjoy the incredible view after a days winetasting or adventures on the stunning Fleurieu Peninsula.

Cole-Brook Cottage Historic house in McLaren Vale

The original homestead circa 1860 began its life as the towns doctors' residence. Fast forward to present day and you will find a charming old cottage with a modern extension that has been thoughtfully designed, surrounded by a peaceful garden setting. Conveniently located in the heart of McLaren Vale, we are only steps away from all that the region has to offer. Make yourself at home! Take a swim in the pool, cook a BBQ and enjoy a glass of wine under our 170 year old pepper tree.

Lost in the Vines. Vineyard Escape.

Space & peace to self isolate in beautiful surroundings with lots of trees & fabulous views. Sit by the wood combustion fire & warm your soul or lie in until lunchtime in soft linen sheets, listening to birdsong. Lost in the Vines is a very private space in the McLaren Vale wine district, surrounded by vines & views, with lots of great walks, wineries & restaurants nearby. The house is all yours but I am generally around if you have any queries. Walk, ride, read or just kick back.

The Secret Garden Cottage is an amazing 1880s cottage set amongst a magical garden. With two bedrooms, dining room, and huge lounge room with 85inch TV this is the perfect place to relax and unwind. It's a short walk to the main road, many popular cafes and Serafinos making it the perfect location to base yourselves as you explore the region. Also available to book on the property is the Secret Garden Studio. You may see other guests from time to time but each have separate areas.

Strout Farm Cottage Est. 1842.

Strout Farm Cottage still belongs to the Strouts who have lived here for more than 180yrs. Starting with Richard Strout, there have been 7 generations of Strouts live in this cottage. Most of the furniture, photos and ornaments come with a story of where they fit in the Strout timeline. Additionally, there are more than 20 cellar doors within a 1.5km, including Leconfield, Wirra Wirra and Down The Rabbit Hole, this is the perfect location to explore the McLaren Vale wine region..

Spacious Moana studio for beach & winery getaways

Relax in our light and spacious private beachside studio with luxurious, comfy king bed, full-size bathroom and bath, lounge area, private deck and garden. Only 500 metres walk to the beautiful Moana Beach, and a 7 minute drive to the tourist hot spot of McLaren Vale. The Willunga Markets are close by and the area has plenty of walking trails as well as surf beaches and kayaking. Includes light breakfast provisions and pod coffee machine. Easy self-check-in process.
