Waterfront Artist Retreat

Our camp is located the heart of the Adirondacks in upstate NY . It is a beautiful four season cabin on Lake Abanakee . The camp is adorned with Adirondack art and furnishings made by my artisan friends and I. Lake Abanakee is a favorite for canoes, kayaks, photographers, fishermen and families. Enjoy glamping in our new screened in lean to or swimming and boating from our private beach. Although our camp looks like a rustic retreat, we have high speed internet and all the modern conveniences.

The Speculator Guest House is fully renovated to offer an elevated and thoughtful stay. Guests love the outdoor sauna, Sunday to Wednesday private chef brunch or dinner, espresso maker, fully stocked kitchen, and everything you need for a campfire under the string lights. Walk to the grocery store, restaurants, shops, or the sandy beach on Lake Pleasant (.6 miles). Each guest receives individualized local recommendations. We live in the area year round and love to share our favorite places.

Rent a pontoon, kayak or bike at Sylvan Beach Supply Co. Rest in the spacious master king bed with a lake view. Or choose the queen, full, or two twin beds. We offer an open concept efficiency apartment on the first floor with full kitchen, full bathroom, 2 beds (1 King, 1 full), TV and wifi, sitting and dining area, all with direct access to the lake. We have a whole house generator in case of a power outage.
