Beautiful spot to relax, close to great hiking trails. The home was comfy and had some thoughtful extras.

Really amazing property with great views and super convenient to get to Devil's Head which is right down the street. Will definitely be looking to visit again in the future!

Absolutely loved spending our 13 year anniversary here! Got to do a lot of bird watching, trail walking and hot tubbing. Enjoyed going to the local state parks and recreation areas and eating in Argyle. Would definitely recommend and want to come back again!

Apple Maps couldn’t find the address that was provided and took us to the wrong location. After googling the address we did arrive and notice that at the property there is an “S” in front of the numbers and that was not provided to us. It was also stated that there was AC but it was a portable ac unit that we would have had to set up if we wanted to use it and only knew about that after messaging the host. The service was pretty spotty and couldn’t get any tv signal. Thankfully there were a few DVDs provided for us to watch. However, the host was extremely responsive and kind, the home was beautiful and clean and comfy we left a day early only due to the rain that wouldn’t stop. We would stay again if we are out in the area but would be more prepared and bring games and movies!

Loved this house! Has my bachelorette party here with 10 ladies and we felt right at home. Big enough and perfect lot. The many beds and sleeping spots were a big plus.

My daughter and I had a lovely time in this well appointed and clean cottage. The only thing missing was a toaster as we love BLT sandwiches and without toast, not quite so good. Truly, everything was wonderful. Have been trying to think of at least one negative, but not a single negative our entire time!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Granny's cottage. We went skiing at Devil's Head for the weekend and this place was the perfect place to stay! (Especially after reading the online reviews about the Devil's Head hotel/lodging...yikes!!). This place has everything you could possibly need, and then some. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone looking for a simple, peaceful, country getaway! Gretchen was very clear and upfront with her communication, and always very responsive to any questions we had. She does have a lot of "rules" but none of them are hard to follow as long as you are a semi-decent human being.
