The home is absolutely stunning and everything is so well considered with so many thoughtful touches. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need, the bathrooms are fabulous, the outside space tops it all off (and we had glorious weather) and the highlight must be the children’s bedroom with cabin beds, rock climbing wall, a swing and more books and toys than you could dream of. It was a joy to stay in such a beautiful home and I only wish we were there longer. We definitely want to go back.

The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, which we enjoyed with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine while watching the adorable alpacas roam. The property's peaceful atmosphere and picturesque views are perfectly balanced by its proximity to Daylesford town, just a 10-15 minute drive away. We had a pleasant stay at Quiet Country Retreat, located right at the foot of Mount Alexander. The accommodation is great for a couple and has a separate living room and fully equiped kitchen. The verandah is a great place to relax with abundant bird sounds. Castlemaine is just a short drive away and has lots of food options.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming Charter Farm house! The property was beautifully decorated, blending classic old-world charm with modern amenities. It was spacious, comfortable, and perfect for our group. The kids loved the trampoline, while the men had a great time on the tennis court. A perfect retreat for families looking to relax and enjoy some outdoor fun. Highly recommend!

What a lovely homely cottage.. Beautifully appointed and very comfortable . Hosts thoughtfully put on air conditioning before our arrival as was 37 degrees and unit lovely and cool. Lots of little extras and very well done. Fully recommended. Great job guys.

We stayed at Juan's listed residence for 5 nights. We were attracted to it because of its peaceful, rural location close to Leanganook (Mount Alexander) where there are exceptional views, walking tracks, significant sites and mountain bike trails. The house was ideally located. While it is very private it is just 10 minutes from the culturally vibrant town of Castlemaine. The views from the house and the site are wonderful, the house was very clean and well cared for. It had everything we needed. Communication with Juan was swift and responsive. He was available to answer any queries and offered very clear instructions for entry (being a rural property there are a couple of gates before arriving at the house). Highly recommended for those seeking time and breathing space in central Victoria.

Alex’s place is a cute three bedroom cottage with a sprawling yard. We were in town only for one night, for a wedding, so really only spent time in the cottage for sleeping and breakfast on Sunday morning. However, sitting outside in the sun for breakfast while looking out over the garden was lovely. Newstead is peaceful and an autumnal delight. Nearby Castlemaine is vibrant with cafes young families. Would have loved to stay longer to enjoy the wonders of the region.

We had an unforgettable stay at Noonanmeena, a stunning passive house set on 20 picturesque acres in Redesdale. The property is beautifully situated, backing onto the Coliban River, with easy access to Redesdale town center, just a short drive away. It's also conveniently located—only 25 minutes from Heathcote and 20 minutes from Lake Eppalock. The house itself is fantastic—spacious, comfortable, and perfect for families. Whether we were relaxing on the deck or taking a dip in the pool, watching the sunset was an absolute highlight. John was an exceptional host—welcoming, accommodating, and great to communicate with. Thank you for making our long weekend truly special—we can't wait to return!

Beautiful location and a charming cottage along with very helpful caretakers allowed for a fantastic stay. Our kids were never bored with so much for them to do on the property, from the games room to the grassy areas and even a river for some fishing, they were well entertained. Very tranquil setting, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommended the cottage to both couples and families.

The property was fantastic—exactly as described. The spacious grounds and beautiful rose garden were perfect for walks, and the vineyard made a stunning backdrop for sunrises. Kids loved the games room, the pool, and having Netflix and YouTube on the TV. The kitchen was spotless and well-stocked. We also enjoyed spotting lots of kangaroos. Overall, a very relaxing and enjoyable stay.

Taradale House is the best place to unwind and relax from the city's hustle and bustle of everyday life. We saw blue wrens, rosellas, cockatoos and kangaroos around the property as we scrolled through this scenic location breathing in the fresh country air. The games room kept our son entertained and we enjoyed a game of pool as a family. Skye was always available to help with any queries or requests which she attended to promptly. Andy was similarly helpful and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend this holiday accommodation site to all.

We absolutely loved staying at Richards oasis in Castlemaine. Richard was so welcoming, generous and friendly and went above and beyond to make out stay enjoyable. Also loved the friendliness (and cuteness) of four legged friend Frankie. would love to stay here again a beautiful property and building and delightful hosts.

Great place in a great location for exploring the Goldfields. Central to most places whatever you want to do and see with everything you need when you are not seeing and doing

Our stay at Marks place was excellent, from easy check, home exactly as described lovely little private court yard, house was very neat and clean .Mark and Di were very friendly and helpful..we really appreciate our time spent at Marks place.. we will return.

We loved it, brought our small dog. Fantastic place to stay, Valerie was very helpful and the house was well stocked with some food and drink staples which was much appreciated. The neighbours were very friendly.

We had 3 enjoyable nights at Kathy’s property. The building is a generous size, light filled, relaxing and comfortable. Amenities were good and the use of the BBQ along with the appliances inside enabled us to prepare simple meals. The provisions provided were good quality and enjoyable. The location outside Castlemaine was an easy drive and its proximity to the extensive walking trails of the heritage gold precinct worked well for us.

This house has a lovely big garden wrapped around it, a great covered deck to eat outside on and the beds and linen were so comfortable! The gourmet hamper was full of really delicious local ingredients, very thoughtful and generous. Fairbank is a very pretty house with the right combination of comfort and history. We felt welcome and well looked after. We hope to visit again.

We have stayed at Arda Cluggen twice now for family gatherings. The house absolutely lends itself to bulk numbers. We fill all the bedrooms and never really get in each other’s way. There is plenty of space and we are able to use the inside and outside areas. We have family who are impaired either visually or physically and Susan has always been helpful in assisting us with information as to how we can accommodate each one. We loved walking in again this visit it was just like coming home. A beautiful property lovely and quiet. We just love it.. Thank you Susan for sharing your home with us.

A gorgeous retro farmhouse in a stunning location. Loved sitting on the deck listening to the birds and enjoying the view. Great hosts. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay at Todd’s cottage. Walking distance from the station, to shops, The Mill and the Botanic Gardens, everything we needed was walking distance. Todd made the courtyard secure for our escape artist dog and we could leave her there without worry. Loved the cottage’s old characteristics. Thanks for a great stay.

Had the best time away in Castlemaine staying at this cottage for my birthday. The tub fit me (in 6 foot 4), outdoor fire pit was a tray, pull out couch was great for lounging, bed was so comfy! Highly recommend this place to stay!!!

Max’s place was beautiful, peaceful and cozy. It had everything we needed with an amazing view. Max was also super proactive and great at communication. Everything was super clean, and had an aesthetic vibe with lovely decorations. Our dog also loved the little lake! Would definitely recommend :)
