Capture Boston's historic neighborhoods with a photographer

Join me, a local photographer, for an architecture- and history-focused photo walk around Boston’s Back Bay and Beacon Hill, revealing iconic locations and hidden gems beloved by locals. I’ll share tips and techniques for capturing the best photos of our tour—no fancy equipment required! • In Copley Square, you’ll photograph the interiors of three stunning buildings—the Boston Public Library, Trinity Church, and the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel—as I discuss their architecture. • Stroll to some of the city’s most photogenic destinations, including the Massachusetts State House, the cobblestone streets in Beacon Hill, and the lagoon at the Boston Public Garden. I’ll offer my advice on the best angles and viewpoints. • Take photos of stately 1860s brownstones, intimate gardens, and the residences of historic Boston figures, including Edwin Booth, Nathaniel Hawthorne, Robert Frost, and Louis Brandeis. You’ll leave with a new perspective on the city, as well as a library of stunning images to commemorate your trip.

Want to try your hand at glassblowing? It is exciting! Make a flower with a curly stem, flower funnel or a straight stemt or an ornament with our help. You'll experience first hand the thrill of working with molten glass and will create a unique work of art from start to finish. I will start with an overview of the glass studio and the glassmaking process and give you an actual demonstration on how to make the item you've selected. You’ll roll the glass in the color(s) of your choice, blow into the pipe, and help shape the piece. After an overnight controlled cooling process, you walk away the next day with your own, one-of-a-kind creation or we can arrange shipping for a small additional cost. Other things to note This experience is open to any one from the age of 8+ If the times available do not match your travel plans let us know to see if we can accommodate you a different day.

Paseo por Boston: pizza, cerveza y Paul Revere

We start off in Bostons historic North End, other wise known as Little Italy, home to amazing history and unbelievable pizza!! We’ll make our way through cobblestone streets and back alleys, seeking out brick oven pizza and super locals only style bars, while checking out Paul Reveres old stomping grounds. I’ll show you the locals only version of our city, the awesome little nooks and crannies, small bakeries, hidden history, and fantastic views that most major tour companies can’t get into, because of their large group size. I know when I travel, I typically ask the concierge or Airbnb host where THEY go out for a beer and to get a bite. My whole reason for doing this tour is to share with you, the city that I love. The nuance and locals point of view. I hope you come grab a slice and drink a beer! Note: As we move into the winter season, this tour will continue to run every day at noon. One of our stops includes having a slice of pizza outside. While not a big deal in the summer, it can get pretty chilly, so all parties should make sure to dress warm!!

See, experience and photograph Cape Cod lit by moonlight and starlight as we embark on a guided tour designed to teach you how to capture amazing locations at night. All skill levels are welcome and participants need only their camera gear and a passion for discovering new ways to see this beautiful area after dark. You'll leave with great memories and a new skill learned from the area's only full time night photographer. Our destinations include the best of what Cape Cod offers along the National Seashore and outer Cape. Nauset Light, Cape Cod Light, Three Sisters, Stage Harbor and Hardings beach will round out our route giving you the opportunity to photograph these unique landscapes with fantastic night sky backdrops. Transportation to all locations is included! I will pick you up at your hotel, Airbnb or rental in any town between Falmouth and Eastham and drop you off safely at the end of our evening. If staying farther down Cape, we'll meet in Eastham and travel together from there! Participants will receive printed course material and a matted print of one of that night's locations. The moon calendar will dictate what skies are in store for your visit, providing unique options.

Take a rest from the stress of the modern world and get ready to fall in love with group of energetic fun seeking Corgis as they take you on a unique journey to a special place where you find hidden dwellings and discover the secret treasure chests. BlissWood Forest is located in Coastal Maine one hour south of Acadia National Park. You will arrive at Corgi Bliss, in the town of Penobscot, on the edge of the forest. There you will meet your hosts, the Corgis along with Jennifer or Katie. Drinks will be offered, as well as a discussion about safety while walking with the corgis . We will set off on our journey through the fields, and into BlissWood Forest. The easy half-mile hike is well maintained and goes at a leisurely pace. The loose Corgis will be scurrying about ahead as they sniff the ground and try to pick up the scent of pixie dust. Help the Corgis find the hidden treasure chests and secret swellings along the path. We pause a lot for selfies, kisses and cuddles from the animals. Then we loop down the trail and return to Corgi Bliss, where drinks and snacks are to be had before saying our goodbyes. We will be outdoors in the fresh air and forest, wear layered clothing and shoes that protect your feet from the elements. Enjoy the earthy smells and forest sounds, and the corgis. For safety, only our dogs can join us on this hike. Children under two years are FREE!

A Ten Apple Farm goat hike is a two hour recreational and educational goat experience. You'll meet your hosts (and our herd of Alpine dairy goats), and hear about their 16 years of experience with goats and living on a small family farm. Once we've met the goats and the many other animals residents of the farm, we’ll set off on a hike through the Ten Apple Farm woods with the goats and Philip our sheep! The hike consists of an approximately one and a half mile loop trail through our woods on lightly groomed trails. Along the way we’ll talk about goats as pack animals, what they eat, and you’ll learn a thing or two about raising and caring for goats. There's lots of time for interacting with the goats, asking questions, or just soaking in the Maine woods and these adorable, fun animals. We end the experience with fresh goat milk and homemade cookies! Please note: Children must be at least 5 years old and accompanied by an adult. 5 and 6 year olds should plan to hold a parent's hand during the hike. (Children under 4 must be carried). Other things to note: The hike is not strenuous, but there is a little bit of steep terrain in 2 spots. We have rope railings on the trail to assist with getting up and down in those spots, but guests who have bad knees, hips, or other difficulties with uneven or steep terrain should be aware.

Join Captain Joe for a relaxing private boat cruise over to our oyster farm where you will master the art of oyster shucking our fresh Maine oysters, and learn about our Shellfish Reef Restoration project. Feel free to bring along snacks and your favorite beverages. I’ll make sure we have plenty of oysters and a special drink to enjoy! This trip lasts 1.5-2 hours and is available for up to 6 people . Kids of all ages are welcome to come but I find that children ages 13+ get the most enjoyment out of this type of trip. I have a similar aquaculture trip that is designed for kids aged 2-12 if you are looking for a more family-friendly activity. All trips are private, and prices are: $125 per person for groups of 2 $115 per person for groups of 3-4 $105 per person for groups of 5-6 Prices include all booking fees and taxes.

Meet and greet at one of the hidden gems of Cape Cod. (Directions provided by your host upon arrival) Enjoy a 2+ hour sunset paddle, through beautiful coves, salt marsh, and to an island (not too far off shore!) Watch shorebirds, check out the shellfish beds, and return to the Cove to watch the sunset over Buzzards Bay. Other things to note: This trip is geared towards 18+. Not suitable for children. Inquire about a private outing if you would like to bring a child. Although life vests are required, one should know how to swim prior to taking this trip. Remember to bring waterproof cases for cameras if needed.

Acadia Mindfulness Adventure

I meet my guests at the trailhead of a beautiful location on Mount Desert Island, and start off with a brief introduction to Mindfulness Practice and it's benefits and then I will guide them through a variety of deeply relaxing mindfulness practices including Mindful Walking through the forest, Mindfulness of the Senses while sitting by the ocean and Mindful Eating by the sea. This experience allows guests to slow down, to connect with themselves, to their experience & with nature in a fully present, deeply relaxing, unique way.
