We had the absolute best time on our 2nd stay at the blue barn. Michelle and Dom were wonderful hosts, and the property was better than advertised. Looking forward to our next trip to the blue barn!

When my family and I saw pictures of Sarah and Matthew’s barn loft, we knew it would be the perfect home away from home. We loved how cozy the space was, the beautiful reclaimed wood throughout and the old cook stove. It had everything we needed during our stay, from the kitchen to the bathroom and even a sound machine in the bedroom. Sarah greeted us when we arrive to show us around, and was available if need. She and her husband Matthew were very friendly and kind. They mentioned that they would be going about their farm duties during the mornings and that we were welcome to visit the animals and explore the property. We even got to watch them milk the cow in the morning, which our young daughter loved. We truly had a wonderful stay and hope to return again for a visit in the future!

We enjoyed our stay at Marvie's place! There was plenty of space to spread out for my family of 10. We cooked a lot and used the grill which was easy to do. The patio was a nice place to relax and the views were amazing !!!

The hosts are awesome! Great family. Our family had a blast. The place was perfect for us and we look forward to returning. I recommend bringing a cooler because the place is out there, which was heavenly for us.

Had a very relaxing stay with our 2 kids. Beautiful house, lovely hosts. Avoid going Mon-Tues if you can, given store closures. Favorites: - soak in sun on patio with a coffee - exercise on patio with yoga mat and weights provided - beautiful interior and exterior - large table for kids to eat and craft Other things we appreciated: - pack n play provided - well supplied kitchen - laundry & beach towels - books and toys for the kids - responsive, friendly hosts with proactive flexible check in/out - bbq What we didn't love: - Area barely had any restaurants or shops open while we were there, including many on the guide. Those open close early. Keep that in mind, especially if you come Mon-Tues. - No microwave. Especially with kids and lack of open restaurants this was inconvenient - No cell coverage in most of town. Download maps ahead, look up timing / reservation of bakeries/restaurants before leaving the house.

What a beautiful escape. This is a quaint cottage situated right between beach and city access. Easy to get down town to Petaluma, to SF, and to the shore. The bunk is so cute with many thoughtful details. My family enjoyed making a fire, sipping tea, and reading the cowboy books (of which there are several). There were games provided as well . We stayed up playing Cards against Humanity one night, laughing with a fire going and the sounds of nature outside. There are chickens, cows, bulls, and horses, 3 adorable dogs. Also great for bird watching as well. We loved seeing the animals outside. Melissa and her husband were super responsive, friendly, and provided local recommendations. Highly recommend this peaceful sanctuary!!

Our stay at this magical Ferndale cottage was truly unforgettable. From the moment we booked, Caroline was incredibly communicative and thoughtful. Checking in before, during, and after our visit. The location couldn’t be better, just steps from Ferndale’s charming main street and a short drive to the breathtaking Avenue of the Giants. But honestly, we barely wanted to leave the cottage. It’s so cozy, beautifully appointed, and surrounded by a whimsical garden and a babbling creek. It felt like something out of a fairytale. The space is stocked with everything you might need, and Caroline went above and beyond by leaving us a few welcome treats. My partner, who’s British, lit up when he saw the “After Eight” mints.. a sweet, nostalgic touch. Every detail reflects true care and hospitality. We felt completely at home and can’t wait for the chance to return. Highly recommended!

We cannot fault our stay at The Loft in any way.. it was the perfect ending of our 5 week holiday in the States. The accomodation had everything we needed to make our week stay comfortable, relaxing and needing for nothing. .. be it listening to vinyl records whilst cooking dinner, sitting outside in the morning sun watching the wildlife go by or relaxing in the hot tub in the evening. We loved “ porch sitting” with Ed and Deborah and getting to know them.. thank you both for the surprise goodies, your company and our wonderful stay. Not many places we want to go back to but The Loft is on our list for next year as we continue to explore the USA. .. 5 star rating

Great place to stay when visiting Lassen NP for a nature escape and hiking. The hot tube came in handy for some recovery. The vinyl record player and arcade were just amazing additions. Would love to come back when visiting northern Cal.

If you are looking for a peaceful, serene, and grounding space that is so so well supported, this is your spot. Alexis’ home is a space unlike any other. Her space is welcoming and supportive. During our stay we had (absolutely) everything we needed…everything…from an abundance of towels to every kitchen gadget you could think of. Anytime we thought we may not have something we looked in Alexis’ “Bible” for the home and found it. She was responsive to any question we might have, and in my opinion went out of her way to provide us with a stay we could not have imagined! So prior to staying at her space I could not have dreamed up the stay would have been anything like it was…it was beyond what I could have thought…and if you get to stay here and experience Alexis’ home and her supportive hosting…consider yourself lucky. Very lucky.

If you're looking for a quiet getaway, this is your place. We chose it for the beautiful waterfalls near by. Wake up early and take a pleasant walk to the local shops and food. Recommend spending the day at the lake on a patio boat and cooling off in that refreshing water. Then coming back to the Tucci house and grilling some grub for dinner. We'll be coming back for sure. Had a great stay at Dan’s place. So much room to spread out, and so many fun things to do right at the house. We loved the game barn, corn hole, fire lit and hot tub. Easy drive to dozens of wineries, and to downtown Healdsburg. We had a wonderful weekend and would stay again in a heartbeat.

Magical, from the view to the all around styling of the home created a feeling as if I was in a movie. Arrived on an overcast day with light fog that really set the scene. There is a wood burning fireplace and they provide fire wood! We had deer come around sunset to graze every day around sunset which was nice. As for privacy, there are homes on either side but the way the homes are laid out you won’t be able to tell at all. Feels incredibly private. There is a coastal walking trail about 150ft from back porch with very light foot traffic, mostly early morning walkers. Kitchen is well stocked, if you need anything the town of Gualala is a 10 minute drive. The only thing I’d change about the home are the bed sheets. This is more of a personal opinion than a gripe but they are a bit outdated and not the comfiest. They do provide soft thick throw blankets that we used instead. The view alone is worth the money. One of if not the most serene, beautiful stays I’ve had

I was at a work conference in the area and had such a wonderful stay at Sues. My 1.5 year old and nanny were able to join and have a cozy home away from home. We loved the setup with two private rooms/bathrooms and large open kitchen. Would highly recommend.

A beautiful place to stay! Secluded, but still close to so much including Healdsburg, Forestville, Santa Rosa, etc. we had a lovely stay. The house is so cute and the hosts thought of all the amenities one might need. Would definitely stay again! Thank you for a wonderful weekend.
