This is a unique rustic cabin on a private dirt road nestled on a mountain brook in the forest adjoining the Giant Mountain Wilderness Area. This small (200 sq ft + 80 sq ft sleeping loft), Adirondack style cabin was completely refurbished this past year using locally sourced woods and built by hand. Located two miles from downtown Keene Valley, and at 1800 feet, this is an ideal place for those who prefer the quiet forest, the peaceful sound of a mountain brook, and possibily seeing animals.

SUMMER SATURDAY-SATURDAY 7 NIGHT STAY REQUIRED - Private 40-acre retreat directly surrounded by the 23,100-acre Giant Mountain Wilderness Preserve. A babbling brook runs behind the cabin; the Owl's Head Lookout trailhead is steps from the driveway, with the High Peaks just beyond. Gather at the fire pit each night, wake to the sound of running water. Fully stocked: wood stove, screened porch, firewood, games, library, full kitchen. Guests call it "food for the soul." Four seasons.

The Trailhead

Our guest suite is located on our small horse farm in the foothills of the Adirondacks. The space has a cozy rustic charm, and has everything you’ll need for a quiet mountain getaway in any season. We are located right at the entrance of the Blueberry Hill Trails, a 1000-acre trail system designed for hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, mountain biking, and horseback riding. Head out the door and you're right on the trails.

This charming cabin hides in thirteen private wooded acres. Gorgeous views include a babbling brook, small pond, and delightful woodland paths. The cabin boasts hardwood floors, a stunning fireplace, functional kitchen and bathroom spaces, safe drinking water, electricity, an outside deck and a screened porch with firepit. Short drives will bring you to Whiteface Mountain, Lake Placid, and Lake Champlain.
