PLEASE NOTICE: The island is located in the northern part of Iceland. It is a five-hour drive from Reykjavik. And you need to take a ferry to get there. No cars, pedestrians only. The ferry departs from the fishing port of Árskógssandur every two hours and only takes 15 mins.

Original restored turf farmhouse in the highlands

Sænautasel gives you a opportunity to experience living as people did in the olden days in Iceland. You should therefore be aware that there is no electricity. Everybody is sleeping in “Baðstofan”, which the space over the kitchen is called in Icelandic. Breakfast and/or Dinner is available for extra charge. You need to book this in advance at least 2 days prior. If you decide to book 2 nights you should be aware that Sænautasel functions as a guided museum from 12-17 PM.

The house is beautifully located in Hjalteyri. From the house there is a stunning view over the fiord, with both mountains and water in sight. The inside of the house is bright, because of the big windows and light colors inside. The house is located a 20 minutes drive from both Akureyri and Dalvík - two larger cities. Hope you will enjoy our cottage house and its surroundings. Hjalteyri offers a restaurant, art gallery and a public hot tub by the ocean.

Peaceful and lovely cottage on the land of farm Syðri-Hagi with lovely ocean views. Located on the west side of Eyjafjörður, with majestic mountain ranges and welcoming valleys. The cottage Sólsetur (Sunset) is 25 square meters, built 2016-2017. The cottage has one bedroom with two beds and a sleepingcouch for two in the livingroom. The kitchen is fully equiped. Facilities for four persons. On the terrace there is a geothermal hot tub and a gas grill.

Apartment B offers peace, privacy, and breathtaking views on our serene Icelandic farm. Unwind in the shared geothermal hot tub and cold plunge, surrounded by pure nature and crisp mountain air. A little cabin built in year 2015 in an amazing location in the wonderful Lake Myvatn area. Surrounded by nature and birdlife you'll feel right at home in our cozy cabin, with a kitchen, queen size bed, full bathroom and a big hot tub. Self catering. Hot tub access. Beautiful views only few steps from the cabin. The pseudo craters in the north and the wetland and the mountains in the south and east.

Cosy cottage in the countryside

Hvoll is a farm with horses, sheeps, dog and a cat. It is located in Þingeyjarsveit by road 854. It is a perfect location if you want to enjoy the countryside and visit some of the beautiful places in north Iceland, like: Lake Myvatn (30 km away), Húsavík (27 km away), Goðafoss waterfall (17 km away) and Dettifoss waterfall (68 km away).
