This is the second year we’ve stayed at the house in the winter and it was just as fantastic as we remembered it. It’s seriously one of the most boujee and beautiful beach houses. You feel right at home, everything’s clean, and you have every kitchen appliance you’d ever need. The hot tub is especially nice - it’s so dark at night in Duck you can see every star while you lay in the warm water. Several times we talked from the house into Duck which was easy, and it’s right across the street to visit the actual beach. Internet speeds are 25mbps for the remote workers. While we were there the new fiber company was laying conduit, so hopefully they’ll get an upgrade soon. Not a single complaint I could make. The hosts are fantastic. Answer every phone call. They stopped by with a gift for being ok with a single construction bag in the driveway for the pool. They’re awesome, it looked perfectly fine but they went out of their way anyway. Book it!

The host was attentive to the issues we had while we were there. She is super easy to get in touch with and responds quickly. And the amenities were great! One thing I would look out for is the community pool has some of the strictest rules I have seen. The pool is only open from 11-7, no pool floats, no water guns, and every hour they do adult only swim for 10 minutes. I would stay again and recommend it though! Super peaceful and a great location!

We had a wonderful stay at this home very nice neighborhood, nice clean home, places to visit were close by. Definitely will be booking again for next summer☺️ highly recommend staying here.

Ariana’s home was a perfect getaway! Our dog, Bud E, absolutely loved the back yard and how quiet the neighbourhood was. Enough space to get all his puppy zoomies out after a long car ride. The home offered a lot of activities to do in the house and around it. The jacuzzi was the perfect way to end the night after a short walk from the beach. Definitely would recommend to anyone going to the OBX that is bringing their dog.

This home was absolutely perfect for our family gathering. The kitchen was my favorite part. It was so well stocked with quality equipment! The air conditioning was wonderful in both units. The two houses in one make it perfect for family that need a get away from the crowd from time to time. I can’t say enough good things about this house. The walk to the beach was super easy even with a 2 year old and 2 three year olds. Such a good place to play games with your loved ones, cook memorable meals and of course enjoy the beach.

Such and wonderful and peaceful stay! Our doggie loved being able to roam in the fenced backyard. This was the best part of our stay Beverly’s communion was quick and highly responsive. The cottage was charming, cozy, quaint and everything we needed and the well stocked kitchen (utensils and cookware looked brand spanking new!) was such great bonus. The walk to the beach was quick and easy! We highly recommend this cottage and hope to visit again.

Was a lovely place in a very quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay over Christmas and was a much needed vacation. Madeline was very helpful and responsive. Would love to book here again sometime!

We absolutely loved our stay. It was the perfect spot for our little family. It was our first family vacation as a family of 3 with our 4 month old daughter. Very quiet location and not far from any essentials you may need. In a perfect location to go explore OBX or just the other little cute towns around. An amazing farm stand just 10 minutes up the road in Grandy. Ursula was the perfect host and her Bungalow felt like home to us during our stay. Will be staying there again in the future 😊

Our stay was very peaceful and stressful free. The location was quiet, yet close to all amenities and sights. We enjoyed the use of the kitchen to cook some of our meals and all the wares were in great condition.

The place was exactly as pictured- but I didn't realize there was no common sitting area. However, our weather was beautiful and the outside sitting area under the deck comfortably served as that. Just be aware, if you like to watch movies, or sporting events together- it has to be from bed. That being said- the beds were comfortable, the kitchen well equipped- and despite a person being upstairs, the upstairs noise was minimal. Easy walk to the sound and the ocean. We especially appreciated the umbrella, chairs and cart that were available for our use. We definitely enjoyed our long weekend at the beach! Thank you.

We absolutely loved Casa de la Luz! It was very clean and comfortable and it's obvious that a lot of thought and time goes into maintaining it. There was a lot of attention to detail, and everything was current and in working order. Heather and Tom were very gracious and accommodating and made sure that we knew that they were available if needed. Definitely one of the best airbnb's we've stayed at and I highly recommend it and them. You won't be disappointed.

The location was perfect! My wife and I enjoyed walking/biking the neighborhood (with the provided bikes! Huge plus) and everything we wanted to do was only 20 min at most driving away. The host let us check in early since we were in the area and we appreciated the provided beach chairs as well!

Will definitely stay here again! Everything was perfect. Clean and comfortable. Had clean towels, toiletry items, coffee for coffee maker, washer/dryer…everything we needed! We loved having the hot tub right there to use as well. Place looked just like the pictures. Host was very proactive and made sure we knew she was a call or text away if we needed anything. 5 stars all the way around!

It's a very nice place. The owner responds quickly to messages, and the surroundings are quiet and calm, perfect for relaxation.

It was a nice and cozy accommodation. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family! The instructions and communication was clear.

Longacres is a special place. It’s definitely rustic and my teenagers weren’t excited at first. But when it was time to go home, they didn’t want to leave. The outdoor shower and sleeping porch are amazing. My husband and I used them in all weather from the 70s to the 40s. The electric blanket kept us cozy on even the coldest nights. Staying at Longacres felt like glamping. You might have to deal with a few wasps or spiders, or you might run into some cobwebs. But the birds singing you awake every morning, the sun shining in through the tree, the wind whispering in the pines, and the blue sky over head during a shower make those bugs and cobwebs totally worth it! The location was a great jumping off point for all OBX adventures. Anne was a responsive host and quickly dealt with a minor issue we had. I hope we get to come back again sometime!

If I could give Tracy 6 stars I would. I can't thank her enough for the amazing place and the hospitality of her and her husband. I will always come back to stay at the little cabin when I visit OBX. Thank you Tracy!!

We loved staying in this little Shiloh cottage! My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon. We couldn't have asked for a more remote, calm, and peaceful location. Easy to get over the bridge. Cute turtles along the pathway. Absolutely gorgeous doc. Nice patio furniture. Bed was extremely comfortable. Love the futon and the couches - could've lived in the living room! We had a blast.

We loved this beautiful home! Beautifully decorated-calm vibe. So cozy and comfortable. I’m also an Airbnb host and I can tell you this space is wonderful! Well worth the price point! Don’t miss out on the fire pit. Something about a fire with your family by the water…it’s truly magical. I highly recommend this place. You won’t be disappointed. Kathy is kind and accommodating. Super responsive and easy to communicate with. Can’t say enough. 10/10.

Stayed here for two nights during cinco de mayo weekend with 7 of my closest friends. The place is quietly tucked into a neighborhood but close to the Main Street with the cabin providing bikes to cruise the streets. It was the perfect combo between beach house and a cabin vibe with the amazing modern interior to the giant backyard with lights, fireplace, seats, and tanning beds. Perfect for a group trip. Highly recommend 10/10 was super surprised how spacious the house was.
