Unwind in the roll-top copper bathtub, elegantly set upon a mezzanine platform. We are located in a peaceful village, so ask guests to be mindful of noise. Ben's Hut

Set on a working sheep farm, Ben’s Hut offers a double bed with the option of a single bunk above, giving a 2+1 format --- we charge an additional £10 per night for the bunk, this is added automatically when you book for 3 people. There is a shower room and a small kitchen area with a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster. Fully insulated with central heating the hut is cosy warm at any time of year. Nearby:- Beamish Museum (a must see!!), Roman Wall, Durham, Kilhope Mining Museum, Metro Centre.

The Loft is a beautifully appointed modern and bright two bedroom apartment, full of charm and character which overlooks the village. The apartment shares a Victorian building with its sister apartment, The Nook, and the Village shop. Opposite is the warm and friendly village pub, The Cross Keys, and 200 yards away is the village green with off road parking provided in the car park opposite.

Windy Hall is somewhere very special. High in the Pennines it offers one of the most magnificent views in England. You may want to stay and enjoy the peace & quiet, but we are ideally placed for trips west to the Lake District, east to the magnificent cathedral city of Durham, and north to Hadrian's Wall. It's unusual in that you have to walk the last 240 metres to the house, though we will bring up your luggage in our 4WD. But don't let this put you off; please just read our reviews!
