Create memories at our lakefront cottage with private beach and dock in the heart of the ADK Mountains. Lake and mountain views greet you from large picture windows. Located just steps from Lake Pleasant Golf Course and close to Camp of the Woods, this property is also near hiking trails, groceries, dining & shopping as well as being on the "sunset side" of the lake. Aluminum dock, kayaks, canoe, SUP &paddleboat provided, as well as all linens, Beekman 1802 toiletries and well stocked kitchen.

Feel free to launch one of our kayaks from our private dock, watch the stars from the hot tub or by the fire pit, take a bike ride on our bikes or just watch the amazing wild life and sunset from your private deck. IMPORTANT: our amazing housekeeper is available Monday and Friday only. So, we can offer Mon-Fri, Fri-Mon, Mon-Mon or Fri-Fri stays. For the adventurer, both the Adirondacks and many famous Herkimer Diamond mines are only a short drive away!

The Speculator Guest House is fully renovated to offer an elevated and thoughtful stay. Guests love the outdoor sauna, Sunday to Wednesday private chef brunch or dinner, espresso maker, fully stocked kitchen, and everything you need for a campfire under the string lights. Walk to the grocery store, restaurants, shops, or the sandy beach on Lake Pleasant (.6 miles). Each guest receives individualized local recommendations. We live in the area year round and love to share our favorite places.

Located on a quiet and peaceful road with views of Gore Mountain and the Hudson River, it is 5 minutes to the base of Gore Mountain Ski Area and 3 minutes to downtown North Creek with restaurants and shopping. Your Adirondack adventure starts and ends here!

Afternoons are great for reading a book as the sun shines through the large living room windows. Relax on the screened in front porch for a quiet evening and a drink. Or enjoy a campfire and watch the sunset through the trees. Use this as your home base for a ski trip or take a trip to Schroon lake, Brant lake or Lake George. (Roughly 30mins)
