Bradley was a very responsive host with an amazing home. It was exactly as described!

We have become regular visitors to Roudy’s Retreat; it’s something we look forward to when planning vacation time every year. The cabin is miles above what we could ask for, and our Jaclyn is always so helpful leading up to and during our stay. The house is very spacious and offers so many amenities—including a fire pit and hot tub and plenty of toys and games to keep our kids busy. We can relax on the deck with our coffee and enjoy the peaceful mountain mornings. And it’s located within an hour at most to a number of great attractions, like Crabtree Falls (only 15 minutes), a fishing pond, Natural Bridge and Lexington. My family and I highly recommend giving this place and try, and we look forward to returning again!

The view was incredible, every morning seeing the sunset over the mountains was breathtaking. The stay was great, the local market was awesome, the overlooks were so beautiful. The host was fantastic and extremely responsive. I would like to recommend that if you want an amazing experience in the mountains I advise you to make a trip and see this amazing property. You will absolutely fall in love with it as we did.

This home was easy to get to and the views driving up to it were amazing. It is perfect for couples and multiple families. The multiple levels make it very private and gives a separate space for everyone to enjoy. Plenty of entertainment options! Each deck provided something a little different from one another. Nighttime sky was beautiful. The BBQ was great and the outdoor seating was perfect. The kitchen is packed with everything you could want or need. Plenty of towels and linens. The hot tub was a perfect way to relax after hiking all day. The location is great! Easy access to the blue ridge parkway and skyline drive. Not too far from Walmart to do food shopping before you arrive at the house. Had an opportunity to go to the blue ridge brewery. Great drinks and food overlooking amazing views. Communication with Mike was easy and he was very responsive. I’d highly recommend a stay here!

Great place in Wintergreen! We stayed in Spring and everything was quiet and the foliage was vibrant. Our family went hiking and exploring everyday, and enjoyed the food and drink down in the valley. There is a nice trail in Wintergreen if you can find the overlook off Old Appalachian trail. Hot tub was a plus for sure! Enjoyed the trails in the neighborhood and watching the golfers. All the amenities you could ask for and a clean tidy home!

Exceeded our expectations! This is a beautiful, comfortable, relaxing and fun place to be. Clean, fully equipped, inviting, and the location is literally a breath of fresh air. The pool and hot tub were highlights for our entire family. The bathrooms and kitchen were pristine. The bedrooms were comfortable and everything was simple to use. All of the little details (linens, artwork, soaps, welcome note, etc.) made the experience feel personal. Thank You.

This cabin was perfect for a secluded weekend getaway. Right up the road from a ton of breweries, vineyards and restaurants, the amenities were fantastic (wood burning stove, comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen, heated bathroom floor, hot tub) and the Mountain View’s were beautiful. We hope to return for another visit asap.

This house is beautiful! We celebrated my sisters bachelorette weekend here and it was the perfect place. We made homemade pizzas in the amazing kitchen, took advantage of the hot tub, and crashed out in the super comfy beds. It was not too far from the wineries we visited too. It felt like the most special weekend escape. I would love to come back. Thanks for helping us celebrate!

The setting of the cabin was a show stopper! The wrap around deck was the perfect spot for morning coffee and griddle cooked lunches! The inside was homey and comfortable with a variety of sleeping options. also, plenty of space inside for game nights and group hangs. the unexpected highlight was the trampoline! host did a great job proactively xommunicatunf some unique expectations, like the need for 4WD vehicles to get to the top of the mountain and a somewhat rustic rural environment. would definitely stay here again with friends!

We were looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway and that’s exactly what we got! The house was spacious and clean and the host, John communicated promptly. The only downside was the walk to the river. It was a bit more challenging than expected and did not provide any clear access entry into the water. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to others!

Spent New Year's with my husband and two Yorkies nestled deep in the woods, and it was everything I hoped for—and more! The property is surrounded by towering trees, offering a sense of tranquility and seclusion that's hard to come by. The bed deserves a special mention— it was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in! We spent all three days hiking some of the best trails and relaxed comfortably watching TV in the evenings with a nice glass of Malbec. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat where you can reconnect with nature without sacrificing comfort, this Airbnb is the perfect choice. I’ll definitely be returning! Thank you Jerry and Chris.

We loved the large deck with incredible views! There is another property very close to this one so wasn’t as secluded as we had hoped but overall we loved our stay here. Go check out Eagle Zen Winery if you have the chance.

Perfect retreat from the city life! Loved petting the horses and watching deer in the evening from the porch!

We had a wonderful stay at Deanie’s place. It was beautiful. It was comfortable. Everything was clean and neat. The kitchen was fully stocked. The beds and linens were super comfortable. We also enjoyed the pool, the view and the people! Everyone was just wonderful. I highly recommend!!!!! Also, don’t forget to get on the list for breakfast. We were only there two mornings, but the food was very good and my family is still talking about it. I hope to return there again in the near future.

First Airbnb experience and could not have been better. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed. Property location is fantastic. Owners responded in seconds to all communications. I could not have been happier with my experience. Will book again.

The cabin was adorable and very close to some great hiking trails. It was very convenient having the general store so close. I really appreciate being able to bring my dog! I hope to stay at The Chimneys again. Thanks for everything!

Had a great and relaxing time! We wanted to get away to unwind and disconnect and the cabin was perfect. Loved the multiple fire pits and the wood stove. Loved the smell of the log cabin also! Kitchen and bathroom amenities were very thorough and accommodating. The bed was superrrr comfortable too. Loved hanging out outside and listening to the babbling stream, definitely a highlight! Close to the hiking and canoeing we wanted to do too. Overall wonderful stay!

Large home, perfect floor plan for our group of 4 adults and two children. The home was only a 2-mile Drive to the Wintergreen Resort. We were able to spend all day skiing and then heading home was a short 5-minute drive to a relaxing evening at the house. The dining choices were limited, we ate most meals at the resort which had three or four different restaurants. The home is well kept and had all the amenities we needed.

Cook's Cabin was a wonderful place to stay in the Blue Ridge area. We stayed for a family vacation with children varying in age from 3 to 16 and everyone felt comfortable and at-home. Cook's Cabin was one of the cleanest AirBnB experiences we've shared as a family. The property is obviously cared for, and also the host is extremely thoughtful--offered a cute host gift, put nightlights in all the right places, and was proactive in making recommendations of places to visit and eat (many of which we used). The property is in Afton, but we were close enough to visit Charlottesville and the University of Virginia for a day. It's a nice place to stay if you don't want to be very close to the hustle and bustle of Grounds, but also enjoy time in the mountains. Lastly, we appreciate the responsiveness of our host, Heidi, we told her we couldn't find a household item and she went above and beyond to be sure we had access to the item. We would consider staying here again if we were in the area.

Our hosts were very proactive and responsive. This Airbnb is in a beautiful location . Meals on the deck are special and especially beautiful at sunrise and sunset. The cozy yet spacious interior makes for a lovely space to host family for special weekends. Will definitely return! Thanks to our Hosts !

The house was super clean, beautiful, and the location was amazing. Brad is super helpful and very responsive! We had a great time staying here.

The cabin seemed small from the pictures, but had more room than expected. Everything was very clean. Lots of areas to sit, and a well-stocked kitchen. Kathryn was very responsive and helpful. We ended up leaving early because one of my kids was sick and she gave us a partial refund. She by no means had to since we paid a non-refundable rate so we appreciated the gesture.

We enjoyed this comfortable home that was quiet yet close to restaurants and hiking! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook lots of meals and Misty had thoughtful snacks and condiments, spices etc. It had everything we needed!
