Once a watermill, the structure was recently converted into a stylish summer house and accommodates up to 6 people. The cottage unfolds between many levels as it conforms to the landscape. It is completed immersed in the nature, featuring views over the hills and the coast. Pisa, Lucca and Versilia are within very short distance, with Florence only 1hr away.

La casa, internamente rinnovata nel 2022, è indipendente, con giardino privato e recintato, zona lavoro, parcheggio e vasca idromassaggio “sotto le stelle”. Gli animali sono i benvenuti. Ideale per un periodo lontani dalla solita routine in totale privacy.

Conveniently located just 30 km from Pisa airport, the cottage makes a great home base for various day trips: 14.5 km to Lucca; 39 km to the beach of Viareggio; Florence or Volterra are an hour away. There is a bus stop a short walk from the cottage and the nearest train stations are Altopascio (12km), Lucca(15km) & Pontedera (16km).

Hot tub available in the shared garden. free of charge, shared (open from the middle of May to the end of September), as well as a large furnished veranda, to relax.

There is a wood-burning fireplace, kitchen, including a hand crank pasta maker, clothes washer, heating and AC. Chianni itself is not a major tourist town, but it is within close proximity to many tourist sites, such as Pisa, Florence, Volterra, San Gimignano, Castiglioncello and Chianti. All are an easy day trip while returning to quiet Chianni for a restful nights sleep.

The "Ortolano" cottage is situated on the rocky tuscan coastline, with direct access to the sea, surrounded by trees and a garden. To buy groceries or enjoy a night out, it is only 5minutes by car to the village of Quercianella and 10 minutes to Castiglioncello. If you feel like sightseeing, Pisa, with its famous Miracle Square, is only 40 minutes away by car (or 1hour by train). Volterra, and its etruscan sites, is about 1 hour by car.
