Camp Wandawega: Lakeside 3 Bedroom Cabin

Overlooking the lake nestled right behind the main lodge, this cabin has 3 bedrooms, a half bathroom, a seating a room, a basic kitchenette & access to camp showers downstairs. One large bedroom has a queen bed, one room with bunkbeds, & one with a full bed to accommodate a max of 6 guests. (But the bunkbeds are best for kid-sized humans). Like all of Wandawega, it’s a back-to-basics, no-frills, primitive experience. Simple rooms, vintage furnishings. There is heat & a couple AC window units.

Cozy Cottage Near Town & Nature

Our 1875 Victorian cottage offers a blend of history and comfort. My husband and I lovingly decorated to make a peaceful escape with vintage charm. It was even used as a filming location for a Hulu show! Relax on the porch, explore nearby nature, or unwind with movies, books, and games. Downtown restaurants, brewery, shops, and scenic views are a short walk away. Ideal for couples, solo travelers, small groups, and business travelers. Nearby: Woods, Etnyre, the Byron plant, and KSB Hospital.

The cabin has a view of the peaceful Rock River. Very relaxing & cozy. Minutes from Castle Rock State Park. Enjoy canoeing, fishing, & hiking trails. Reconnect with nature, play a board game, barbecue, watch the birds & engage in outdoor activities. Enjoy exploring the quaint small towns, antiquing, & local restaurants. Go from city life to country life, just “90” minutes from Chicago. This is a great place to relax & unwind. Due to location & your carrier you must be patient with our WiFi.

Bed and Breakfast with Horse Hotel at VRR

Victory Reigns Ranch Horse Hotel and Bed and Breakfast boasts a beautiful ranch setting close to Deer Run Forest Preserve, Oak Ridge Forest Preserve and other equestrian trails. *Come with or without your horse. We also have an RV hookup if needed along with spacious trailer and RV parking. *If interested in horse boarding during your stay a 12 x 12 barn stall is $35 per night. Private pasture turn out available for $25 per horse per night. Trailer hook up is $35 per night per trailer.

Unique adult themed home with a BDSM / "Red Room" experience. It's a great way for couples to turn their fantasies into reality and explore with each other. Includes St Andrews Cross, Swing, and Sybian! Relax on the patio or in the hot tub with a scenic view of the Rock River. Once you arrive you will not want to leave so we try to provide you with everything you may need for your stay! Frozen pizzas, Bottled Water, Coffee, Robes, Firewood and a special gift with each reservation.

We created this space with the hope of sharing it as a place of retreat and refocus. The house sits on 6 acres of private woodland for you to enjoy. Whether walking through the trees, sitting by campfire at the top of the sandstone overlook, or watching the birds and deer, we hope you’ll reconnect with nature and enjoy your time!

LHOTP (Lil House On The Prairie)

Lil House On The Prairie (LHOTP) is aptly named because it’s located on the edge of Nachusa Grassland’s 1,000 acre south Bison pasture. The 100+ herd of free ranging Bison can often be viewed right along the boundary fence to the west! This recently remodeled two bedroom cottage can sleep six with two queen size beds and with a pull out sofa bed. LHOTP offers a quiet, convenient, and comfortable place to base your adventures from. Behaved dogs & responsible owners welcome!

Walk everywhere in downtown Freeport.

Downtown Freeport, walking distance to movies, bars, restaurants. Some of the summer activities include concert on the square once a month, market every Saturday. The largest car show with 1000 old cars, the air show. If you like to walk or ride a bike there’s Jane Adam’s trail. Krape park is beautiful with many trails on the river where you can rent kayaks. The kitchen is apartment sized but boasts a counter top induction cook top, oven, microwave, Keurig,and refrigerator.

Enjoy a cozy and clean relaxing visit at, "Ann's Place!" Fully refreshed this year with new amenities, linens, bedding inside and outside. The outside has great off street parking along with a sitting area. Enjoy the quiet neighborhood or a stroll down to the river. The Rock River is located two blocks from Ann's Place along with a playground for littles to run. Hairy Cow Brewing is located along the Rock River and just a 5 minute walk from Ann's Place. No pets allowed.
