Old Byre Barn: Brecon Beacons Historic Cottage

The Old Byre dates back to the 17th Century & forms part of a charming range of historically listed farm buildings at Llandetty Hall Farm, situated in the heart of the stunning Brecon Beacons National Park. The barn is set in 15 acres of private pasture on the Mon Brec canal, between the villages of Talybont on Usk & Llangynidr. The spacious barn boasts a log burner & use of the adjacent communal games barn. It uses electricity created by our solar panels & benefits from underfloor heating.

Dolfan Barn Studio is so named because an artist once worked here, prior to that it was a cow byre. Just under a mile out of the village of Beulah the Studio is a perfect place to unwind. This beautiful 1531 Tudor barn conversion has nearby amenities including a village pub, books, post office, shop and park all within walking distance. Nearby local towns include Kington-5 miles, Hay-on-Wye-7 and Hereford-15. Ideal for couples or a family stay.

The bedroom is in a converted barn with its own access. Ideally located for walkers and easy access to the Royal Show Ground. Please note that the access to the house is via a fairly steep and narrow lane (last section is a track with loose gravel), not suitable for HGVs. We now provide super fast internet!!

Irfon cottage sleeps two guests with its cosy open plan layout. The bedroom has a super king bed which can also be arranged as twin beds by request. The bathroom has a shower. The fitted kitchen is well equipped with the living area comfortably furnished. You are welcome to bring up to one dog please include this on booking, we ask that pets are not allowed in the bedroom and if they do go on the sofa, blankets are provided. There is an EV charger.
