There are walks aplenty from our doorstep & friendly traditional pubs serving food, real ales & ciders within 10 min by foot. By car "The Cotswold way" is 15 mins, Cirencester 20 mins, Bath, Bristol & Cheltenham 40 mins.

Surrounded by beautiful countryside, it's just a short distance from award-winning restaurants, pubs in our village, and bustling market towns. It is the perfect place for long country walks in the cotswold country side and romantic getaways visiting the christmas markets. Beautiful 17th Century detached Cotswold stone cottage, renovated and furnished to a high standard, located off a quiet country lane with far reaching views, a parking space and patio area. The open plan ground floor looks across the hosts cottage garden, has many original features including a traditional stone fireplace with wood burner, exposed beams and feature walls. The oak staircase leads to the bedroom and bathroom and fabulous views can be enjoyed across the valley. A little gem!

Heron's Nest - Detached annexe in wooded valley

Heron's Nest is a detached, newly-refurbished two-storey annexe nestled within the charming hamlet of Harley Wood, in the Cotswolds AONB. The accommodation boasts wonderful views of Horsley valley and the beautiful gardens and lakes of Ruskin Mill. The gardens are free to visit, and the mill hosts a delightful cafe. Just a ten minute stroll away is Nailsworth town centre, home to many wonderful boutiques, inspiring galleries, and some of the finest restaurants the Cotswolds has to offer.

Modern Hayloft in Cotswolds

The hayloft is very old but we have converted it into a 2 bed suite (one double bed & one big round bed on the mezzanine) with a 'shed bathroom' and a large lounge. It is on top of part of our own house (above the kitchen) but has a separate private entrance and a door onto the garden. There is no kitchen facility - think hotel rooms rather than self catering! It is right in the heart of the village a couple of hundred metres from good restaurants, ancient pubs and independent shops.

Although petite in stature, the cottage oozes character with low ceilings and beams and has all the qualities needed if you are looking for a rural retreat or romantic break. There is a village shop and cafe all within a few minutes walk. The property has its own parking and all the amenities to make it a great base from which to explore the Cotswolds.

Explore everything it has to offer such as AA rosette restaurant ‘Wilder’ which is directly opposite the accommodation, or visit award winning seafood restaurant ‘Williams’. There are many small independent shops to visit with beautiful homeware, clothes and coffee shops. Or step outside to enjoy the countryside!

Badgers Bothy is set within a woodland glade in the grounds of the 16th century Amberley Farmhouse and provides the most unique and charming country escape. Our idyllic cottage is set on the edge of Minchinhampton Common (located in an AONB) and with miles of footpaths which are perfect for those wishing to explore the Cotswolds.
