The village of San Vincenzo a Torri and of Ginestra Fiorentina are respectively 2km away grocery and bakery stores, pharmacy, bank, restaurant, news stands, and petrol stations are within minutes from the house. Only 16km (10miles) to Florence the toll free highway is 3km from the house. Car is a must.

Lucrezia, the apartment with a terrace on the first floor. It features a large kitchen with large windows overlooking the Calcinaia hill. Two bedrooms with king-size beds (each with inside bathroom) a balcony, a kitchen, a living room. Lucrezia was a poet, wife of Piero di Cosimo de' Medici, and mother of Lorenzo the Magnificent. She is said to have been a modest woman, but one of great elegance and intelligence.
